28 Nov first blog… a cornwall walk
I am new to the world of blogging and don’t fully understand it just yet! So I did some research….
A blog (also called a weblog or web log) is a website consisting of entries appearing in reverse chronological order with the most recent entry appearing first (similar in format to a daily journal). Blogs typically include features such as comments and links to increase user interactivity.
So, with that in mind here is my first blog… please bare in mind that I am not known for my writing ability. I have been told that I write as if I were talking. My spelling and grammar is also a bit iffy! But I am a photographer not an English teacher; so don’t be too hard on me….
Walking Around Cornwall…
I have spent the last couple weeks in Cornwall, with not much to do apart from take cheeky walks here and there it was inevitable that I produced a little album from the walks. I’d like to say hikes, but they were far too short for that.
There was a great variation in natural light. I had to work with overcast and very muted days. I saw these as a challenge trying to create a dramatic image from a flat occasion.
This starts the debate on how much Photoshop is too much Photoshop? When does what you shot in camera stop being that photo and become something different? … Or is it all just art?
About an hour after this image was shot the sun began to set, nothing really happen at first, then BOOM! It went nuts! I went from slowly walking around to a frantic child trying to find the best angle and foreground to set the now incredible sky off. My pick of the bunch was this light trails sunset. Using a busy road and the lights from the cars I was able to capture a quite unique image. I can honestly say this is the first image I have shot like this and it wont be the last!
Enough talk…below is a slider of a few edited images from my walks. Enjoy.
